Patiala is a city in southeastern Punjab, northwestern India. It is the fourth largest city in the state and is the administrative capital of Patiala district. Patiaala House in Bangkok has the flavours of India. Located in Bangkok, this place has been around for years, located in the Amari Gate Hotel.
If you want to know what the true flavours of Punjab really are and how and why the local street food in Patiala is so famous. Try the Amritsari Kulchas, made with onions, mashed boiled potatoes and many other vegetables.
This Amritsari Kulcha is a tasty treat. If you want to treat your taste buds with the best then trying Amritsari Kulcha is the way. You can eat these kulcha’s as they are served with Chana and mostly with chutney this local street food item is epic. A must-try is the onions they send to you or while eating at the restaurant you can add these to any of the dishes served.
Patiaala House makes fat and plump veggie samosa filled with mashed chunks of spicy potatoes were served with tamarind chutney. Very filling and tasty. The pastry wrapping the potatoes was crispy and soft at the same time.
Patiaala House make their mushroom stuffed tikka, I have never had anything like this and it was so superb so tasty I didn’t want to stop eating them. The mushrooms were fresh and plump and there was this great smooth cream cheesiness inside. The seasoning was perfectly spice for tasty Indian food.
These chicken tikka rolls, move over donairs – these are truly the next best thing! Stuffed with already spiced chicken tikka, served in a tightly rolled naan bread with garlic and butter. I know… I know .. keep smacking your chops cause until you order these you are missing out big time.
Everyone knows and love garlic naan! What is there to say other than fantastic to eat this with any of the curries and or dip in sauces to enjoy the freshness. Chicken Patiaala: Patiaala House makes it different in the sense it was chicken curry wrapped inside a thin omelette and rolled. Very nice to eat with naan. Very unique and different.
Patiaala House gave us Indian Chineses spiced noodles that were tasty and the garlic naan. I am not even kidding when I say you haven’t tried chilli chicken and tell you have tried this chilli chicken. Spicy, smooth, tasty and saucy mixed with crispy red, green and yellow capsicum, is your mouth watering yet? To mix the noodles and the chilly chicken would be a second helping kinda dish! Make sure you do not invite your neighbours when you order their food, you won’t wanna share it! Spice level – 4 peppers! Just my style!
Thank you for the incredible food you have made for us to try! It truly was a delightful easy experience.
With Love and Gratitude
