Paradise Found: Orient Paradise – The Restaurant That Will Have You Licking Your Plate Clean!

by Fauzia

First time in Bangkok and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The Biryani is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. Orient Paradise made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. My friend Sohom and I went here after a nice long day to sit down in this wonderful ambiance and have the most delicious food!

One of Orient Paradise signature drink is the Lemon and Mint iced drink.  It was fresh, smooth and a bit tart which is exactly the way I like it.  I am not too keen of sugary drink and the was not the case here!  The coconut iced drink was also refreshing and cooling.

The fresh crispy juicy mouthwatering greek salad was lightly dressed for the occasion and the portion was the perfect amount for sharing with 3 people. Greek salad is known for its simplicity, and its ingredients are meant to be fresh and of high quality. The tomatoes are be ripe, the cucumbers are crunchy,  sweet onions , and the feta cheese should be tangy and salty. The dressing is typically made with extra-virgin olive oil, which gives the salad a distinct, rich flavor. Spot on! Thank you Orient Paradise located on Rama 9 Soi13! !

Indian cuisine is known for its diverse flavors, spices, and cooking techniques. It is heavily influenced by regional and cultural differences, with each state in India having its own unique culinary traditions.  The Indian biryani was highly recommended and I am glad I come that option!

Some common ingredients used in Indian cooking include ginger, garlic, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili peppers.  At Orient Paradise, the Indian Biryani really had the flavours as if I am siting in India having it there. Moreover, the whole fried egg was a nice detail!   You can find Orient Paradise on Rama 9 So 13 on food panda for home delivery.

Popular throughout the Middle East, particularly in Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, kibbeh is a classic appetizer/meal. Bulgur wheat is finely processed and combined with ground meat, typically lamb or beef. Spices like cinnamon, allspice, and cumin are included with the meat and bulgur, and frequently onions and parsley are also added for flavor.  Also, I had the opportunity to try the deep fried and the grilled kibbeh! which one did I like better, well.. can I say both?

Mediterranean cuisine is a diverse and flavorful style of cooking that is characterized by the use of fresh ingredients, herbs, and spices. It is heavily influenced by the countries and cultures that border the Mediterranean Sea, including Greece, Italy, Spain, Lebanon, and Morocco.  This rice dish topped with succulent lamb with bone was divine!  The flavors were so distinctly different then the Indian Biryani, very tasty and filling!  Furthermore, the roasted cashews and raisins with the crunchy fried onions added a nice touch to the dish, especially the sweet essence of the raisins. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Orient Paradise.

The lamb kebabs caught me by surprise as there was so much on the plate, I love the way the fries were tossed lightly over the kebabs. Mediterranean cuisine include olives, olive oil, tomatoes, lemons, garlic, and herbs such as basil, oregano, and thyme. Overall Mediterranean food is known for its balance of flavors, healthy ingredients, and the use of herbs and spices.

Popular Mediterranean dishes include Greek gyros, falafel, hummus, tzatziki, paella, and ratatouille. Mediterranean cuisine also includes a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, such as Mediterranean-style salads, stuffed vine leaves, and lentil soups.

Orient Paradise is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, someThai classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. It can be expensive but worth it and they do different deals on different nights so it’s worth checking them out before you book. Highly recommended.

Thank you to Sunny, who introduced this to fabulous restaurant in Huai Khawng.  Khun Lek the chef, the food was wonderfully prepared and was very generous portions, and the serving staff was very attentive!
